Admirals and ESPN Radio 1310 to Continue Radio Broadcasting Relationship
NORFOLK, VA – The Norfolk Admirals are pleased that ESPN Radio 1310 will remain the team’s flagship radio station for the 2008-09 season, starting with the regular season opener on Friday, October 10.
ESPN Radio 1310 will carry all 80 regular season games and all Admirals playoff games, as well. In addition, the Admirals Hour Call-In Show will return to ESPN Radio 1310 on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. beginning on October 9. Fans are encouraged to tune in each week to hear The Voice of the Admirals, Pete Michaud, interview a special Admirals guest and take your calls.
ESPN Radio 1310 serves the entire Hampton Roads area and parts of Northeastern North Carolina. They have broadcast every game of the Admirals’ sister club, the Norfolk Tides of the International League, since the start of the 2002 baseball season.
The Admirals will host the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday and Saturday at Scope in two preseason games. Tickets for those games are available now and are only $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years of age. Due to conflicts with Major League Baseball Playoffs, these games will not be broadcast on the radio.
The 20th season of Admirals hockey officially kicks off on Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11, at Scope against the Hershey Bears.
