East Division Battles Highlight Upcoming Five-Game Homestand
NORFOLK, VA – After playing 12 of their last 15 games away from Norfolk Scope Arena, the Admirals will return home for a five-game homestand against East Division rivals this week.
Last week, the Admirals faced off against their division foes on the road. On Wednesday in Albany, Blair Jones tied the game in the third period to force overtime, but Norfolk fell 3-2 in a shootout to the River Rats. On Friday night, the River Rats sunk the Admirals 8-1. On Saturday night, Bracken Kearns and Brandon Bochenski each had two goals as the Admirals defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 6-3. Yesterday in Hershey, Mike McKenna made 27 saves, but his Bears counterpart Daren Machesney stopped all 30 shots he faced and Norfolk fell 3-0.
Norfolk begins their homestand this week with a matchup against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Wednesday night. They will then entertain the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday and Saturday nights. There are several exciting promotions taking place this week. More details are available below.
