If you are a Norfolk Admirals 5-Star Kids Club member, you get more than just a hockey game when you visit Scope. Exclusive monthly Kids Club events help your child get an up-close and personal look into the lives of the Admirals and help them feel even more like a part of the team.
Our first Kids Club event was held on November 9, 2011, which allowed members a discounted ticket and a pre-game locker room tour. Before the Admirals went on the ice, each Kids Club member high-fived the team and wished them luck. Afterwards, members received a special look into Admirals' locker room. During the tour, members saw where the Admirals players get ready for games and had the chance to take pictures in front of their favorite player's locker.
Our most recent event was held January 13, 2012, which gave members an exclusive look at the Zamboni before the game. Members learned how the Zamboni works during a tutorial taught by our Ice Crew. Each member got a chance to sit in the driver seat and take a picture while pretending to drive. Members also received an exclusive Kids Club picture frame to hold their zamboni photo. The kids had a fantastic time learning the ins and outs of the Zamboni. To top it off, we held an exclusive Kids Club raffle where three lucky members won a ride on the Zamboni or autographed merchandise.
Our next event will be on February 18th. Members will get $10 Red Level tickets and a 2011-12 souvenir team poster. After the game, everyone is invited to join our team on the ice during a post-game skate. Kids can get their poster signed by their favorite Admirals!
