8th Annual Pink in the Rink is Set for Saturday January 17
NORFOLK, Va. - The 8th Annual Pink in the Rink night is set for Saturday, January 17 at 7:15 p.m. when the Admirals take on the Hartford Wolf Pack.
The Admirals and Wolf Pack will be skating on pink ice for the game, so come out to the game and wear pink to show your support in the fight against breast cancer. The game is intended to help raise awareness about breast cancer, as well as benefit the Tidewater Chapter of Susan G Komen
Educating both women and men about the importance of early breast cancer detection is one of the main focuses of the event. Polls have shown that most individuals aren't aware of the causes or risks of breast cancer. Game attendees will learn about programs in the area, support groups and how they can minimize their risk.
