The Admirals support many diverse charities in the greater Norfolk area through fundraisers, auctions, special game nights and more. Below, you will find examples of the charities that the Admirals support both annually and ones that the team has supported this season. Annual Events

Each year, the Admirals hold their annual toy toss to gather stuffed toys for donation to area children. The toys collected in the Toy Toss are donated to several worthy causes in the Hampton Roads area including the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Ronald McDonald House, St. Mary’s Home for Children and 4Kids Inc. Shelters.

Special Olympics Night is designated to raise funds for Special Olympics through ticket sales and recognize Special Olympic Athletes from Southeastern Virginia. In addition, the Admirals participate annually in the Polar Plunge at the Oceanfront.

The Admirals team up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure every year for “Pink in the Rink.” The event raises money and provides education about breast cancer. In addition to coloring the ice pink for the game, the Admirals also hold breast cancer information sessions, silent auctions to benefit the Komen foundation, and include survivor participation in the game night presentation. The event has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Komen Foundation.

The Admirals hold an annual jersey auction to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The Admirals present a check from the jersey auction proceeds during the annual televised MDA Telethon each September. The Admirals have donated over $500,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Admirals fans can bring their dog to the game in order to support the Norfolk SPCA, Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center, Portsmouth Humane Society, Virginia Beach SPCA, and Chesapeake Humane Society. A special seating section will be reserved for dogs and their owners, and a percentage of ticket sales will go to those organizations!
