NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that they will open the 2012-13 season on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Norfolk Scope Arena. The announcement came as the Admirals released five guaranteed home dates for the 2012-13 season.
The Admirals will play at Norfolk Scope Arena on the following dates:
Friday, October 12, 2012 – Military Appreciation Night Saturday, October 13, 2012
Friday, December 14, 2012 – Tidewater Council Boy Scout Night Friday, January 25, 2013 – Norfolk Public Schools Night Saturday, January 26, 2013 – Guns & Hoses Night
Opponents and start times for these games will be announced when the complete 2012-13 American Hockey League (AHL) schedule is released later this summer. More details on the above-listed special events will also be released at a later date.

The 2012 Calder Cup Champion Norfolk Admirals enter their 13th season of AHL action in 2012-13. When the puck drops in October, it will begin the first season of a multi-year affiliation agreement between Norfolk and the National Hockey League's Anaheim Ducks.
